Jend. Army (Ret.) Dr.. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (born in Tremas, Arjosari, Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia, 9 September 1949, age 62 years) was the 6th President of Indonesia who has served since October 20, 2004. He, along with Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, was elected in the 2004 presidential election [1] [2]. He managed to continue his administration for the second period with back to win the 2009 Presidential election, this time with Vice President Boediono. Thus, since the reform era began, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is Indonesia's first president who completed the presidency for 5 years and successfully re-elected for second term.
Yudhoyono called "Sus" by his parents and popular with the call "SBY" [3], spent most of his childhood and teenage years in Pacitan. He is a retired military. While in the military he was better known as Bambang Yudhoyono. His military career stalled when he was appointed President Abdurrahman Wahid as the Minister of Mines and Energy in 1999 and emerged as one of the founders of the Democratic Party. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono last rank was Army General before retiring on 25 September 2000. In the 2004 presidential election, the advantage of President Megawati Sukarnoputri's voice made him the first president elected through direct election by the people of Indonesia. This is possible after the 1945 amendment.
In his personal life, he married a Christian Herrawati which is the third daughter of General (Ret.) Sarwo Edhi Wibowo (late), commander RPKAD (now Kopassus) who helped quell the Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI) in 1965.
